A brief introduction...

Stu is a manager with the valuation and transactions group of Sinaiko Healthcare Consulting, Inc., a leading healthcare management consulting firm. His expertise and focus is in the area of physician compensation. He has designed physician compensation models and has performed numerous fair market valuations encompassing physician employment, medical directorships, ED on-call and in-house coverage arrangements, joint ventures, and co-management agreements. Stu's clients include a variety of non-profit and for-profit hospitals, health systems, and physician organizations across the United States.

Prior to joining Sinaiko, Stu served as a consultant with The Camden Group, providing business advisory services to healthcare providers. His work at The Camden Group included fair market appraisals of physician compensation arrangements and supporting analyses for business plans, feasibility studies, operational assessments, and transactions.

Stu has also served as a senior consultant with Strata Decision Technology. In this role, he led operating budget and long-range financial planning software implementations for 17 healthcare providers, including The Cleveland Clinic and Duke University Health System. In addition to building advanced financial analyses, Stu was responsible for managing both day-to-day and long-term aspects of each client engagement and providing training to end users, including mid- and senior-level financial executives.

Stu received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, and the Chicago Bar Association.
